Why Not Go National?

In the past we talked about how to help local parks, but why not shoot for the bigger picture: National Parks! There are about 63 national parks in the United States and they are needed our help. Well, not in the way you would think, but in the way everyone can be kind to Mother Nature. Take the family, take your friends, or just take a personal road trip across the states to check off sight seeing of the beautiful parks, visiting new cities, and just to be out traveling!

Grand Circle Road Trip
If you want to go to just about all the parks, it will take about 2-3 months but that is if you are not enjoying your time at each city as well. It is about 17,000 miles to cover and not a lot of people have that kind of time so there is other small loops you can take depending on your destination. You can do the Grand Circle Road Trip which will take you around the parks in Utah, Arizona, and Nevada that will take approximately 2-3 weeks to cover those parks. The next loop you can do is the East Coast and Great Smokies Road Trip which takes you around

Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Delaware,  Washington DC, and Maryland that will take you approximately 3 weeks to complete.
The next loop is the Yellowstone and Arches Road Trip which takes you through
Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana which will take you approximately 3-4 weeks to complete. There is so many other loops you can look into on the National Park Road Trips webpage and see which ones best fit your time schedule and your destination!

Within these parks, you can volunteer to help clean up the park from animal scat, hiker's garbage, or checking the park website to see if they are hosting an events. Start planning your trip today to start making a difference and start seeing the beautiful world we live in!

  1. Hi Dee! I also talked about volunteering in my blog this week. I really enjoyed the pictures you included. I was interested to see how long it would take to complete each travel loop because I am interested in traveling, so this would be helpful to see how long I would have to take off work or if I would even have the time to complete these loops while employed.
